Debbie presents on aphasia therapy at national ASHA convention

In November 2014, Debbie presented 2 topics with Dr. Jackie Hinckley at the national ASHA convention for speech-language pathologists in Orlando.
Dr. Jackie Hinckley lead a discussion on building a patient-centered practice across the continuum of care, "Tools and Techniques for Patient-Centered Care for Aphasia." Debbie provided case examples of the use of the Life Partcipation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) and Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) for a collaborative approach to out-patient aphasia therapy. Derrick Wong and his wife provided a client's perspective to intensive therapy.
Debbie and Dr. Hinckley also provided statistics, therapy suggestions, and real-life stories about "The Realities of Going Back to Work with Aphasia."
