June is Aphasia Awareness month, and to celebrate and spread the word, Debbie organized The Aphasing Race with Voices of Hope for Aphasia members. Sixteen participants took part in the event at Tyrone Mall in St. Petersburg, Florida. Challenges modelled real-life errands such as buying baby presents, and shopping for thank you cards. Debbie was invited to present to Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists at Blake Medical Center in Brandenton, Florida. She talked about the different types of aphasia, and the main communication characterists of each.
